Concertined Razorwire

Concertined razor wire is intended to provide a highly effective physical barrier and it can be used either as a temporary permanent barrier installed at ground level or to the top of a fence.

Concertined razor wire is produced in either a Galvanised or Stainless Steel material finish using 2.5mm core wire.

Concertined razor wire is a spiral, coiled up form of reinforced barbed tape. The adjoining loops of the spiral are connected in the particular way to each other making the concertina wire spatial and almost inseperable.

For the loop connection we use hot dipped galvanized clips or annealed galvanized wire. Either way is available at the customer’s request.

Points to note when selecting Concertina razorwire:

1. The core wire diameter. 2.5mm is the industry standard, anything less is likely to offer less tensile and inherent strength.

2. The number of loops per coil: This determines the amount of Razorwire on the coil and therefore the profile density when deployed. Also an important point when checking prices. All our coils have 55 loops per coil!

3. The Stainless Steel or Galvanised Zinc coating. The environment the product is being deployed in may determine whether SS or Galvanised is the best option. SS is considerably more expensive but offers much greater durability especially in salt air environments.

4. Blade type. Smaller blades such as BT10 are less aggressive and therefore offer a less significant risk of injury, however they are also less of a deterrent than some larger blade profiles such as BT65. The blade type should also be reflected in the cost.

5. Blade thickness. 0.5mm is the industry standard, anything less is likely to bend easily.

6. Coil extension length. The length the coils can be extended to is determined by the number of loops and clips each type of coil has. Generally most coils extend to between 9m and 13m comfortably without compromising the profile density.
